Two Schools of Cool

Two Schools of Cool

October 9, 2011 – January 22, 2012

Two Schools of Cool pairs a group of Los Angeles artists from the 1960s and 70s with a new generation of artists emerging in the 2000s. This exhibition provides each pair with gallery space to explore, experiment, and provoke through collaborative projects. The resulting mixed-media installations are a forum for multi-generational dialogue in which the artists to respond to the similarities and distinctions between their practices.
