Weekend Studio: The Shape of Nature

Capture the immaterial features of natural forms with paintings that explore the sensory qualities of our environment like color, light, and shape. Participants will use mineral-based paints like artist Su Yu-Xin to transform references from the natural world into fluid creations that evoke curiosity and awe.

Tickets are $10 or free for residents of Costa Mesa. Advance registration is required, and space is limited. Overflow seating may be available with modified materials. Registrants that arrive more than 15 minutes past the start time cannot be guaranteed entry.

Weekend Studio workshops invite artists of all experience levels to engage with current exhibitions through creative, hands-on activities. Workshops involve materials that are suitable for ages 6 and up only, and all families must sit together for the duration of the program.
