Rose River Memorial | Virtual Opening as part of the COVID-19 Memorial Day Vigil

Rose River Memorial | Virtual Opening as part of the COVID-19 Memorial Day Vigil

Monday, March 1, 3 – 4:30 pm (PST)

Attend a virtual vigil to honor the first COVID-19 Memorial Day. Visit over 75 memorials being planned across the country, including the OC Rose River Memorial by internationally recognized artist Marcos Lutyens. Lutyens will be joined by the City of Santa Ana Mayor Vicente Sarmiento to officially open the week-long installation of Lutyens’ memorial at OCMA. Constructed from over 3,000 roses hand-made by community members, the project visualizes our collective loss and generates community healing. The installation will be on view outside OCMA from March 1-7.

The COVID-19 Memorial Day Vigil will be hosted by Kristin Urquiza, founder of Marked By COVID, and Brad Wolfe, founder of Reimagine.
