Permanent Jet Lag

Radio Booth Session 4: Permanent Jet Lag

Artists York Chang and Daniel R. Small perform a fictional radio play that presents itself as a series of phone interviews recorded in mid-March with a molecular biologist who was stranded 38,000 feet in the air without a passport on an international flight for twelve consecutive days. Caught at the onset of the global COVID-19 pandemic, the scientist found himself trapped in a peculiar kind of perpetual flying quarantine of his own making.

This session of Radio Booth is a fourth addition to a series of public programs organized during Chang’s exhibition at OCMA, York Chang: To Be Wrong with Infinite Precision (April 7 – September 1, 2019).
