York Chang: To Be Wrong with Infinite Precision

Los Angeles-based artist York Chang’s exhibition To Be Wrong with Infinite Precision probes how we make sense of the tumult of information we are confronted with today and decipher fact from fiction. By expanding, extracting, folding, reprinting, and re-contextualizing newspaper clippings, microfiche, and Polaroid photographs, he calls attention to how easily context and framing can shift meaning. Similarly, his Radio Booth (2019) created in collaboration with Daniel R. Small operates as both an archive and a platform for an ongoing performance that explores cognitive bias and tribalism in media.
