Elastic Ambiences, by Julian Day
In this 24-day series of one-hour aural compositions, Julian Day seeks new ways to ground us in time as the pandemic continues to shift our relationship to the 24-hour cycle. Immersive sonic landscapes comprising electronic sounds with occasional spoken voice and snatches of field recordings come together as a kind of acoustic clock that colors and accompanies one’s mood but grounds the passing hours, offering an anchor by which to mark your day.
