DJ José Galván
José Galván began DJing in 2008 at the now defunct Indie 103.1 FM, where he produced The Crystal Method’s weekly radio show, Community Service. With their guidance and gear, José took to the decks one Cinco de Mayo and has been DJing ever since.

Mixing is only the newest chapter in his lifelong addiction to music. He’s been in college & commercial radio programming since he was an undergrad at USC, fulfilling the roles of Latin Music Director & Programming Director at the student run college station as well as Executive Producer of Syndication for The Kevin & Bean Show on KROQ.

José has also traveled the world as a Tour Manager for Carla Morrison and DJ Z-Trip, exposing him to some of the world’s biggest DJs in action. His roots in music theory, stint with Z-Trip, and his constant seeking of new music has helped José grow rapidly as a DJ and music selector. In addition to his work with KCRW, José currently manages booking at The Paramount in Boyle Heights. José Galván lives for music, and has been known to take requests.

DJ Raul Campos
The voice of pirate radio in the mid-’90s and a native Angeleno, Raul Campos has come from the underground to represent the eclectic airwaves of KCRW.

Raul’s exposure to music began with the 8-track and vinyl collection of his Mexican parents and six older siblings. Their musical influences ran the gamut of genres and styles. By age eight, Raul was avidly playing the likes of the Rolling Stones, Michael Jackson, Donna Summer and the Beatles, sprinkled with the rancheras, cumbias and mariachi music of his parents. By age 14, Raul stepped behind the decks as a DJ. Specializing in house parties, college mayhem, nightclubs and underground events, Raul quickly developed a reputation across Los Angeles.

Raul found a home for his motley musical influences at KCRW, where you can catch him on the air waves Saturdays and Sundays from 3-6 PM. Campos still loves to rock the club, and you can catch him in the mix all over town.
