Sunday, October 8 – Visitor Appreciation Day

Start the celebration outside the museum entrance with a special postcard giveaway to express our gratitude for the 250,000 visitors who have come through our museum in the past year! The postcard highlights our building designed by Morphosis, founded by Pritzker Prize-winning architect Thom Mayne. Take a moment to write a message to a loved one and we will mail it for you!

Inspired by our exhibition Alice Neel: Feels Like Home, we are happy to host a day dedicated to people and pets! Bring your best furry friends and enjoy pet portraits, adorable dog treats from Pup & Pop Bakeshop, and a special opportunity to meet and adopt rescued dogs from The Pet Adoption Center of Orange County!

Saturday, October 14 – Anniversary Party

Celebrate our first anniversary at our beautiful Costa Mesa location with a full day of events! Start the morning with a meditative sound bath at 11:00 AM, a special pancake brunch and mimosa menu from our café Verdant and sweet treats from the delectable Crepes Bonaparte food truck from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM.

Swing into the afternoon with art activities from 1:00 – 3:00 PM accompanied by live acoustic guitar music. Experience an immersive dance performance on our outdoor Sculpture Terrace by Backhausdance at 4:00 PM inspired by artist Jennifer Guidi’s exhibition. Bring the whole family for a day of art-filled adventures!

Kick off the evening’s festivities with a happy hour starting at 5:00 PM where family, friends, and neighbors can meet up to enjoy beautiful sunset skies from our outdoor Upper Plaza. Turn up the volume and let loose with our final Big Night Out dance party of the season with KCRW DJs Francesca Harding and Valida from 5:00 – 9:00 PM.  Let’s toast to a fantastic year!

Take a breather and recharge your creative energy with a relaxing 60-minute yoga session on our beautiful outdoor terrace at 11:00 AM. Chill vibes guaranteed! Bring your mats and experience the healing powers of movement. Admission is free for OCMA members and $10 for non-members. Payment is due upon arrival. Please come fifteen minutes early to check-in at the Welcome Desk on Level 1 and then meet on the Upper Plaza on Level 2.

Get your creative juices flowing with all ages art activities, an exhibition tour, and then sway to the beats of live music by Timba Tumbao as you learn to salsa with an incredible teacher from La Vida Dance Studio in the heart of Orange County!

Estamos encantados de lanzar ¡ArteViva!, un nuevo programa en español que celebra el arte y la cultura contemporánea. ¡Deje sus jugos creativos fluir con actividades artísticas para todas las edades, tome un recorrido por las exhibiciones o déjese llevar por el ritmo de la música en vivo de Timba Tumbao!
