Girls’ Night Out

Girls’ Night Out

September 14, 2003 – January 28, 2004

Girls’ Night Out presents photography and video by two generations of 10 important female artists who reflect evocative approaches to issues of femininity and identity. The artists, each in her own distinct way, present highly personal images, often without the need to critique feminine archetypes. The resulting imagery is as uncertain, contradictory, and filled with possibility as the adolescents these artists often portray.
